Welcome Back to “God is Not Boxable” Private Podcast & Blog for Business Owners.

Where business and faith collide, this podcast focuses on God's Principles and Promises regarding you and your business.

My name is Shaniece M. Wise. I host this podcast and am a Business Expansion Coach and Strategist. I teach business owners how to grow their visibility, increase their profitability, and improve their systems and strategies.

This week is titled "Eyes Have Not Seen, Ears Have Not Heard - Embracing the Unexpected in Business”

In our last episode, I shared how "You are God’s Masterpiece" was inspired by Ephesians 2:10.

This week, we are focusing on the profound promise found in 1 Corinthians 2:9 in the KJV,  But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

This scripture reminds us of the unimaginable things God has prepared for those who love Him. It will serve as our guide as we examine the unexpected journey of Ruth and Naomi in the Book of Ruth in the Bible and what it teaches us about faith, perseverance, and divine provision in business.

The narrative of Ruth and Naomi begins in loss and despair but ends in restoration and legacy. Naomi, an Israelite, relocated to Moab with her family due to a famine. After the death of her husband and sons, Naomi decided to return to Bethlehem resigned to a life of poverty and widowhood. Ruth, her Moabite daughter-in-law, chose to join her, a decision that set the stage for a divine turnaround.

In Bethlehem, Ruth began to glean fields to support herself and Naomi, an act of survival that connected her with Boaz, a relative of Naomi’s late husband. This connection, fostered by Ruth’s loyalty and hard work and guided by Naomi's wise counsel, led to Ruth marrying Boaz. The union blessed Naomi and Ruth with security and significantly positioned Ruth as the great-grandmother of King David, placing her in the lineage of Jesus Christ. This outcome, far beyond what either woman could have imagined, illustrates the unexpected ways God fulfills His promises. From Ruth and Naomi’s story, we learn the principle of Redeeming Restoration. Their story shows us that God can transform seemingly desperate situations into stories of redemption and purpose when we operate in faith and align our actions with His word.

For business owners, Ruth and Naomi’s journey underscores the importance of steadfast faith and strategic action, even in uncertainty. Like Ruth, embracing opportunities that seem mundane, like gleaning in the fields, can lead to unexpected blessings and strategic alliances. This episode provides inspiration and motivation by demonstrating that outcomes in business, as in life, are often beyond our ability to predict or control. By committing to faithfulness and diligence in our endeavors, we open ourselves to the potential for divine surprises - where our "eyes have not seen, and ears have not heard" the full extent of what God can do through and for us.

Key Takeaways for Business Owners:

  1. Doing the Work: Just like Ruth worked diligently in the fields, business owners must focus on their daily tasks and responsibilities. Hard work sets the foundation for success.

  2. Trusting God's Timing: Naomi’s guidance to Ruth shows the importance of strategic patience. Waiting for God's timing can sometimes mean the difference between failure and success.

  3. Embracing Unexpected Opportunities: Ruth’s decision to glean in Boaz’s field was pivotal. Similarly, entrepreneurs should be open to seizing unexpected opportunities that arise.

  4. Building Meaningful Relationships: Ruth’s relationship with Naomi and later Boaz highlights the value of trustworthy relationships in business. Cultivating strong relationships can lead to new opportunities.

  5. Looking Beyond Current Vision: Ruth’s story's final outcome was something she could never have envisioned. Business owners should remain open to outcomes that surpass their initial plans and visions.

Conclusion:

Thank you for joining me in exploring how the biblical story of Ruth and Naomi can inspire your business journey. Like them, may you find that by operating in faith and learning from the word of God, your business can achieve outcomes beyond what you have seen or heard. Stay tuned for more episodes that help you bridge your faith with your entrepreneurial spirit. Remember, you are capable of more than you know, and with God, all things are possible.
